This was our first time staying at Club Med, and we had so many “first-time” experiences here. Overall, our experience at Club Med Bintan was amazing!
There were a few little moments that really surprised me and showed me the quality of the service here.
First, the attention to detail.
On our first night, I noticed that the shower holder in our bathroom was loose and one of the clothes hooks was slightly broken. I hadn’t even reported it yet, but the next day, the housekeeping staff noticed it themselves and arranged for someone to come and fix it. Such a small thing, but I was genuinely impressed by how attentive the team was.
Second, everyone seems ready to help — even when you don’t expect it.
The first time we joined Kids Club, our children had already gone ahead to their activity. When we arrived at the sports area, we couldn’t find them.
My child told me, “Ask the gardener!” 😂
I thought, “Would the gardener know where Kids Club is?” But just as I was about to ask him, he actually approached me first and asked if I needed help. I asked where the Kids Club activity was taking place, and he immediately gave me the answer.
It was such a simple interaction, but it really stayed with me. It made me feel that hospitality here isn’t only the job of certain people — everyone is willing to help.
And third — the G.O. culture. ❤️
Having meals together with the G.O.s was something completely new to us. Through these conversations, I started to understand what makes Club Med culture so special.
We had many meals with Noor, and I really appreciate his warmth and friendliness. More importantly, through these interactions, my children started meeting people from different countries, becoming curious about where they came from and wanting to learn more about different cultures.
That was something I never expected from a family vacation.
Sports & Activities 🎾🏹⛳️
The resort is huge, clean and very well maintained, and the sports facilities are in great condition. You can really feel how much effort the team puts into taking care of everything.
During our stay, our family experienced so many things for the first time — golf, tennis, squash, aerial yoga and archery.
Thank you to the Golf G.O. for introducing both me and my children to golf for the very first time.
A big thank you to Federer for my first tennis lesson. Your patient teaching finally helped us understand the basics of the tennis swing!
And thank you Juli for the aerial yoga class. Your clear explanations and attention to detail helped me understand how to use my strength correctly and actually make those beautiful aerial yoga poses happen. ❤️
Kids Club ❤️
A huge thank you to Eva, Moe, Omen, Valentino and all the Kids Club G.O.s.
Taking care of children is already exhausting enough 😂, but you spend your days running around doing activities with the kids and then perform for everyone again at night. I honestly don’t know where all that energy comes from!
Our children were a little reluctant to join Kids Club at first. But gradually, they started enjoying it, understanding more English and even becoming willing to speak English themselves.
The biggest surprise came after we returned home — they actually told us that they wanted to improve their English.
As a parent, that means so much to me. Thank you, Club Med. ❤️
Music, Dancing & Night Activities 💃🏻🎶
Another unexpected highlight for our family!
Thank you Riko (and the other DJ whose name I forgot to ask 😂) for all the great music. My kids loved the songs so much that they asked me to create a “Club Med Playlist” on Spotify after we came home.
Thank you Batu for bringing so much energy every night — you basically gave my kids their first “club experience” much earlier than expected. 🤣
And thank you to all the G.O.s who came out to dance with guests after dinner. There was also a female G.O. from Bintan who very enthusiastically taught me how to dance — unfortunately I forgot to ask her name!
Dancing together every night became one of our favorite parts of the trip because this is definitely not something we normally do as a family. 😂
Thank you Jeevan for enthusiastically teaching Jeremy that when you dance, you have to REALLY use your energy! 🤣🤣
We were also lucky to experience Indonesian culture and traditional dance during our stay. My children and I loved it, especially the Indonesian traditional games — the kids seriously could not stop playing!
And Jose is definitely one of the people my children remember most. Even though they couldn’t always understand everything he said while hosting the evening shows, somehow Jose’s humor always made them laugh in the end!
And finally… my favorite part: THE BAR 🍹🩷
Thank you to all the wonderful G.O.s at the bar — Rohit, Connie, and “幹嘛” G.O. (I forgot his real name again 😂😂).
You made me very happy every day with an endless supply of cocktails. They were SO GOOD. 🩷
I posted them on Instagram almost every day, and now my friends probably all know how happy I was at Club Med. 😂 I’ve already been recommending Club Med Bintan to everyone!
What impressed me most about this trip wasn’t just the facilities or activities. It was the people.
From housekeeping noticing something broken before I even reported it, to a gardener stopping to ask if I needed help, to the G.O.s eating, talking, playing, dancing and laughing with our family — these little interactions made the whole experience feel very different from staying at a regular resort.
We came here expecting a family vacation, but left with so many new experiences, new memories, and even some changes in our children.
Our first Club Med experience definitely won’t be our last. ❤️
