Thank you Max!
Took my kids down to Club Med Cancun, we had so much fun. Great food and very engaged staff. Big shout out especially to Max with the Sports Team for especially taking great care of my activity schedule.

Incredible staff at Club Med Cancun!
This resort was absolutely incredible! Not only was our room beautiful, but the food was delicious, and as we were there at the beginning of the summer, it was quiet and incredibly relaxing. My friend and I had the opportunity to swim with whale sharks on an excursion, and if you are debating whether to do it, I wholeheartedly recommend it! It was an amazing once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we still can't believe we got to do it!
Though the excursions and resort are incredible, the biggest standout at a Club Med resort is always the staff. The staff is what creates the comfort of being at the club and keeps the energy high and positive.
One such incredible staff member was Alfredo. Alfredo works at the Estancia and was incredibly kind and welcoming, to the point that we returned there for lunch almost every day! Another waiter who went above and beyond was Jose at Taco Arte, always making sure we were comfortable and cared for.
Some incredible staff we met and interacted with around the resort included Despina, Chrislove, Alonso, Sammy at the boutique, Nelson, Pierre, and many more. These people were kind and welcoming, always including us and saying hi. This enhanced the atmosphere, truly enriching the experience as a whole.
Maxx and Italia were some of the first staff members we met. They pushed us to try new activities and even got us to compete in a sailing regatta, something we did not think we would do! We also participated in the Circus, learning to perform the trapeze. Margot made us feel very comfortable and safe, even though I was scared to try!
I was in Cancun to play music for Club Med, and I need to mention one of the staff members who usually stays behind the scenes. Ricardo works on the sound team, and I can confidently say that I have never had a better sound tech working with me. He is incredibly knowledgeable and made sure I sounded my best every single night. They work so incredibly hard, and I wanted to recognize the time and effort Ricardo and the entire team put into ensuring the shows run smoothly.
Because I was playing music, I had the chance to meet some of the incredible staff at Jade. Jade is beautiful and relaxing, a wonderful environment for a great vacation. Staff like Jose Luis and Erik made us feel welcome and were so kind, encouraging me and giving me feedback when needed.
Because I played music, I also got to meet Xabi. Xabi is in charge of all the performances, and he does an incredible job of ensuring they are well organized and entertaining for all guests. His energy during the dancing is also infectious, encouraging everyone to join in.
Though the resort was beautiful, clean, and set on the clearest, most beautiful waters, the value of Club Med resorts as a whole has always been the staff. I believe it is incredibly important to recognize the people who make these experiences better. Though I've listed a few, the entire team is incredible and should be very proud of the environment they've built.
Thank you again!

Kids loved the club :)
We were there at the end of June to early July for two weeks. We moved to Acquamarina on day 2, paying an extra fee. The upgrade was worth it, and the view of the ocean was memorable (with coconut trees and others). The staff was very helpful and nice (thanks). The facility looked somewhat dated, but unlike the atomic bunkers made entirely of concrete at the nearby resorts, it was immersed in nature, which is something I found very charming. Being next to a national park helps as well. Although Club Med is currently building its own atomic bunker :) With a lot of persuasion, my kids joined the teens club in week #2, made new friends immediately, learned new sports, and hung out (danced, etc.). They loved the experience. It was a needed break from their cellphones/internet, and a chance for them to learn to socialize (thanks, GO Sender. Ivan and colleagues) . We got great weather (no rain, no storm, only the expected tropical sun) during our stay. The main beach was nearly free of sargassum, except for the southern end near the diving center. Luckily, we left before the main bloom arrived. The food was varied, but repeating on week #2. We were there on June 26 (Quebec Day), July 1 (Canada Day), and July 4 (US Independence Day), hence we had to endure 3 days of hometown foods (cheeseburgers, anyone?). Overall, it was an excellent experience.

Great stay as usual - quieter due to renovations (which had its benefits!)
Fantastic stay as usual - resort much quieter than usual due to renovations which to be honest meant no waiting for any activities and to be honest hardly noticable. New Chef de village Theo was wxcellent - alward around and took time to get involved in the activities and spend time with the GM’s. Staff friendly as always and food was usual high quality.

Club Med Cancún
Located at the tip of the iconic Riviera Maya, the newly redesigned Club Med Cancún Yucatán is waiting to be discovered. Our magnificent resort offers an array of experiences and activities and direct access to ancient Mayan wonders.
The Club Med Cancún Yucatán all-inclusive resort sits right next to three sandy beaches, along the world’s second-largest coral reef. It’s the place to be if you want to explore, unwind, and immerse yourself in the culture and adventure of Mexico.

A Bit About Cancún
A city in southeast Mexico on the northeast coast of the Yucatán Peninsula, Cancún is one of the most significant tourist destinations in Mexico. As one of Mexico’s easternmost points, the city is on the Caribbean Sea.
One thing to know about Cancún is that it’s a planned city, and it was created to foster tourism. Back in the 1970s when the area development first started, Isla Cancún only had three residents. All of them were caretakers of the coconut plantation of Don José de Jesús Lima Gutiérrez.
Since then, Cancún has seen a major transformation and it’s now one of the two most well-known resorts in Mexico, next to Acapulco.
The official language in Cancún is Spanish, although many people speak English as it’s a big tourist destination.
Since Cancún boasts a wonderfully long coastline, preserving it is in everyone’s interest. When packing, make sure to only take reef-safe sunblock with you.

Cancun climate and cuisine
Cancún, Mexico has a tropical climate, or more specifically a tropical wet and dry climate. That means that the city is hot pretty much all year round. Also, the annual mean temperature is 27.1 °C.
Unlike inland areas of the Yucatán Peninsula, sea breeze restricts high temperatures from reaching 36 °C on most days. Not only that but thanks to Yucatán’s current continually bringing warm water from the south, the sea temperature is always warm. In the winter, the lows are typically around 26 °C, while in the summer highs are around 29 °C.
The rainy season lasts from May to late October. That’s when Cancún experiences high temperatures and humidity, along with intense summer thundershowers. The dry season runs from December through April.
Culture and Customs
Given Cancún’s popularity with younger crowds and college-age travellers, the city typically has a more casual dress code. Cancún’s nighttime establishments, like bars and clubs, often welcome a more relaxed atmosphere and appearance.
Cancun cuisine
When you book your Cancún holiday with Club Med, you’ll receive full-board gourmet cuisine included in your stay. However, if you want to branch out within the city, you’re sure to discover plenty of restaurants worth sampling.
Cancún has almost as many restaurants as hotels, so you should have no trouble finding something to your taste. One of the reasons for that is that the cuisine of Mexico is regarded as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity of Unesco.
For a taste of true, authentic Mexican cuisine, the cochinita pibil is one of the most famous dishes from the Yucatán cookbook. The combination of ancient Mayan spices, combined with pork marinated in achiote and sour orange, is simply addictive. That said, if you want more variety, you’ll easily find it in any number of international restaurants.

A Day Trip to Chichen Itza
Cancún is an incredibly thrilling and exciting destination with activities, excursions, and attractions galore.
A well-known archeological site and the 7th wonder of the world, Chichen Itza welcomes more than 2.5 million tourists each year. The sacred site was one of the greatest Mayan centres in the entire Yucatán peninsula. Throughout its nearly 1,000-year history, Chichen Itza represents a fusion of many different people. It’s open to tourists from Monday to Sunday, from 8 AM to 4 PM.
If you want to visit this magnificent site, you can do so through Club Med. A guide will travel with you, helping you navigate the wondrous attraction, and after (an included) lunch, you can swim in an open cenote and visit the colonial city of Valladolid.
Discover Coba
Another stunning site of Mayan culture that shouldn’t be missed is Coba. Located in the eastern part of the Yucatán Peninsula, it’s one of the few sites to retain its Mayan name; it translates to ruffled/uneven water.
The settlement dates to the Preclassic, which was around 350 BC – 250 CE. Coba contains many free-standing carved stone slabs, as well as many white stone roads that extend within and outside of the site.
To visit Coba and explore the Nohoch Mul pyramid, you can book an excursion with Club Med Cancún. After lunch, you can refresh yourself in a spectacular cenote on the Yucatán peninsula.

Tulum and Cenote
Tulum was the last great city the Mayans constructed and inhabited between the 13th and 15th centuries. It was a site of worship to the Great Descending God whose image you can still see within the temple walls.
Nowadays, numerous ancient structures remain, spread out over groomed lawns and oceanside cliffs. The Tulum ruins are open seven days a week from 8 AM to 5 PM, and they get around 2,000 visitors each day.
With Club Med, you can discover all that this wonderful city has to offer and explore the underground geological formation while swimming in the crystal-clear waters of a cavern.

The Ancient Kingdom of Ek’Balam
Ek’Balam is a Yucatec-Maya archeological site and it lies on the Northern Maya lowlands, 25 km north of Valladolid. It was a seat of a Mayan kingdom from the Preclassic until the Postclassic period.
As part of Ek’Balam, there are 45 structures, which include walls, a chapel, an oval palace, ballcourt, steam bath, and more. With Club Med, you can book an exciting excursion to the ancient kingdom, followed by a swim in a natural freshwater pool or cenote.
