Valmorel France

We stayed for a few days at the beatiful Club Med in Valmorel, located in a commanding position amidst a breathtaking natural setting. Everything was excellent, starting with Alice's precise and punctual welcome. The food and beverage service, masterfully managed by Ines, is a true strengh of the Club for the quality of the products and the expert preparation. All the staff at the Lodge were magnificent and literaly pampered us : a special mention goes to Emma who creates amazing, innovative cocktails. The reception service was excellent thanks to the expertise and helpfulness of the staff led by supervisor Lilian.

We chose Clubmed Valmorel for our first skiing holiday and to celebrate our son’s 10th birthday. I’m so glad we did; it was exceptional.

All the staff were friendly and helpful, but a special shout out to to the kids club Julien and Kevin and ESF staff Damian M, Joel, Tom D, Philippe, Laurent, Tomas, Jean-Baptiste. The help of the kids club with the ski equipment etc was fundamental for making the trip a stress free time for us as parents. We actually got time together as adults and to learn ourselves.

Trust the ski process. Every day we progressed and they made it eventful and an experience. They really want to help. And safety is paramount which I appreciated. We were able to move groups to get the right fit and bond with the instructors all week.

The private ski lessons were worth the effort. We hired two instructors on our son’s birthday and they took the four of us out on the slopes to celebrate. Memories to last a lifetime. My son had an extra one too on the free day and Damien was really flexible and helpful for us. My son really respected him.

The development of the children in one week is astounding. The presentation on the last evening was so lovely and exciting. All the kids were beaming and now have their booklets ready for next years assessments.

The food was the best I’ve had at a buffet. Breakfast at the a la carte was good too and the service was great. The hotel schedules were busy and something for everyone. The swimming pool and hot tub was nice for a change.

The shuttle bus around Valmorel is reliable and a great add to get around. The local village is really worth a visit. Very quaint. We had a drink in a pub and dinner at La table du Berger.

The ski room and organisation of the lockers was excellent. They’ve thought of everything. If you do the pre check in everything is there when you arrive but you can switch if you need to.

The watsapp service and app were so easy too. You never see piles of people at reception.

One thing to note you don’t get dressing and gowns and slippers outside of the exclusive collection.

I don’t like to return to the same place twice, but I’m torn whether to come back next year to master the slopes and know we’re getting 5* treatment or go to another club med.
