Beautiful Club Med Gregolimano
Getting to Club Med Gregolimano from Athens airport is a bit of a journey due to the nearly two hour transfer from the airport to the pier and another 35 to 45 minute ferry ride from the pier to the resort. So, all in all, it took about 2.5 to 3 hours to reach the resort after you board the shuttle from the airport.
Upon arrival to the resort I was greeted by Amelia and Vivienne and given a brief tour and shown to my room. The room is spacious and had a balcony with an ocean view (Olympie section).
The main restaurant was very busy during my week's stay as I think the resort was near capacity. I and other GM's had to look for seating on many of those days. There was nothing that I thought was exceptional for the food being served. I wish they served the prawns with the head and shell removed as it was quite messy to eat. However, the pasta bar which cooked the pasta perfectly, every time. The dessert team also put out delicious desserts. Strangely, bananas were only available in the morning and sliced pineapples only during lunch. The fresh orange juice machine was only out in the morning and was a bit finicky.
The service and food at the a la carte restaurant were impeccable. Much more relaxed atmosphere there.
Anthony the tennis coach was very friendly and a good coach. Mathieu at the tennis hut was very cheerful and super outgoing. Even got to get a selfie with Jo Wilfred Tsonga who happened to drop by during my second week at this resort. Both tennis and padel were very popular at this resort
The sailing team with Briac and Sergio were super knowledgeable and predicted a sudden gusty wind change and warned us to come back immediately when we saw this change happening. They were right with the timing and boy was I lucky to get my catamaran back to the beach! Other than that one day, the sailing was very good.
I had a friend who really enjoyed the waterskiing but wondered why the wakeboarding or the slalom/advanced waterskiing docks aren't covered to give some shade while waiting for their turn.
I would also suggest that the main bar get proper shot glasses and not serve tequila in 2 oz paper cups. Otherwise the bartenders were very quick and efficient.
I took the Meteora excursion to see the monasteries on top of hills and was not disappointed with the beauty, majesty and art work of these monasteries. However, note that it takes about 3 hours of travel (45 minute by ferry and just over 2 hours by bus) to get there. So, bring some tunes and maybe a pillow.
As an English speaker, I had no language barrier issues at this resort.
I met Jeremy, CDV, when I dined in the a la carte restaurant and from that day on, he always greeted me when our paths crossed. He was even the highlight of the "Gregolimashow"!

Great Location and Beautiful Scenes
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Club Med Grecolimano as a solo traveler, and I wanted to share my experience.
Positive Aspects:
Beautiful Location: The stunning beaches and lush surroundings of Grecolimano provided a perfect backdrop for relaxation. The natural beauty of the resort is truly breathtaking.
Good Food: The dining options were impressive. I enjoyed a variety of delicious meals throughout my stay, which greatly enhanced my experience.
Professional Staff: The staff displayed a commendable level of professionalism. Their dedication to providing excellent service was evident and made my stay enjoyable.
Positive Energy: I particularly appreciated the positive energy from the Yoga GO and the bar staff. Their enthusiasm and engagement created a lively atmosphere that made my time at the resort even more enjoyable.
Timely Room Preparation: I arrived early, and I was pleased that my room was ready upon arrival. This made settling in much easier after my transfer, which took about two hours (100 minutes by road and 20 minutes by boat).
Enjoyable October Stay: Visiting in October was a fantastic choice, as the resort was at half capacity. This significantly reduced waiting times for food and activities, allowing me to enjoy everything without feeling rushed.
Individual Feedback on Activities:
Tennis: The tennis GOs were nice guys, but I felt that the training sessions could be better adjusted according to the different skill levels of the players in the class. This would help everyone get the most out of their experience.
Padel: The Padel GO is a great player but sometimes lacks sympathy and seems to prioritize himself over the guests. Improving his engagement with the GM’s (Gentils Membres) would enhance the overall experience.
Yoga: The Yoga instructor was fantastic! She was very enthusiastic and had tons of experience. Her classes were a highlight of my stay.
Waterskiing: I noticed that the enthusiasm for waterskiing could be improved. There were several mornings when I wanted to ski, but the GOs were sitting down and not actively getting the activity started. A little more initiative and a few smiles would go a long way in making the experience more enjoyable.
Bar: The bar staff were very nice and friendly. Their positive attitude added to the welcoming atmosphere of the resort.
Areas for Improvement:
GO Engagement: While the professionalism of the GOs was commendable, I noticed a lack of interaction between them and guests, especially solo travelers like myself. It seemed they primarily interacted with one another, which influenced their behavior during activities. Encouraging more engagement with guests could significantly enhance the overall experience.
Understanding the Role of a GO: It might be beneficial for the team to revisit the core meaning of being a GO (Gentil Organisateur). Emphasizing the importance of guest interaction and creating memorable experiences could enhance connections between staff and guests.
GO Attitude: Some GOs came across as a bit selfish and spoiled at times, which detracted from the overall guest experience. Fostering a more team-oriented mindset and a focus on guest satisfaction would be beneficial.
Wi-Fi Connectivity: The Wi-Fi service was somewhat inconsistent in certain areas of the resort. Ensuring reliable connectivity throughout the property would be helpful, especially for guests who need to stay connected during their stay.
Conclusion:
Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Club Med Grecolimano and appreciate the hard work of the entire team. By addressing these areas for improvement and fostering a more guest-centric approach among the GOs, the resort can create an even more memorable experience for solo travelers and all guests alike. I look forward to seeing how the resort continues to evolve!

Loved our stay at Gregolimano
We had a fabulous week at Gregolimano. It is situated on a private beach inside a beautiful Aleppo Pine grove. There were masses of activities including water skiing, wake boarding and sailing. When the wind blew, the sailing was great and yet, step inside the pine grove and the zen pool was still and calm. The food was good although not great for vegetarians. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The wasps were pretty numerous and I wouldn't recommend the resort to anyone with wasp allergies. However, for the rest of us, they seemed a docile species and made a bee-line - sorry for the pun ;) - for the meat on the plates. All the more reason to offer vegetarian food! I'd also recommend you take some insect repellent because we were devoured by some stealthy midge or mosquito who we never saw or heard.
