Punta Cana Dominican Republic

My recent stay at Club Med Punta Cana was absolutely wonderful. This was my eighth trip to the Dominican Republic and my sixth stay at Club Med Punta Cana, and there is a reason I continue to return year after year. The resort itself is beautiful, but what truly sets this property apart is the incredible staff who consistently go above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome, appreciated, and cared for.

This was also my first visit since the recent renovations, and I have to say that the resort looks absolutely beautiful. The updates have enhanced an already amazing property. The new bar is stunning, there are so many comfortable shaded seating areas throughout the resort, and it is clear that a great deal of thought went into creating inviting spaces where guests can relax and enjoy their vacation. The entire property is exceptionally well maintained, and the pride the team takes in keeping the resort beautiful is evident everywhere.

I would especially like to recognize several outstanding team members at Indigo Restaurant.

Fresir deserves special recognition. He has the warmest demeanor, the sweetest smile, and provides some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. He anticipates guests' needs before they even have to ask and always does so with genuine kindness and grace. He is an incredible asset to the Indigo team and should be commended for his exceptional service.

Darlyn was also wonderful. He consistently provided outstanding customer service and was always friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Every interaction with him made our dining experience even more enjoyable.

Assistant Restaurant Manager, Vinay, truly went above and beyond during our stay. Following a brief and unpleasant experience at breakfast one morning (every other day breakfast was exceptional), he made a point to check in with us throughout the remainder of our vacation to ensure everything exceeded our expectations. He greeted us warmly upon arrival and departure, followed up regularly, and did an excellent job leading his team. His professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail made a lasting impression. Thank you, Vinay, for everything you did to make our stay so memorable.

I would also like to recognize several exceptional chefs.

Chef Jackson consistently creates some of the best meals we enjoy during every visit, especially his shrimp and salmon dishes. What truly sets Chef Jackson apart is that whenever we make a request, he doesn't simply meet our expectations—he exceeds them. He has a very calm and quiet demeanor, but behind that is an exceptional level of professionalism, leadership, and dedication to his guests. He leads his team with excellence and always ensures that every detail is handled with care. His commitment to quality, his consistency, and his willingness to go above and beyond are a big part of why we continue to return to Club Med Punta Cana. We deeply appreciate Chef Jackson and all that he does to make every dining experience special.

Chef Fekiel made our departure especially memorable. He prepared a beautiful lunch for us on our final day and even helped arrange food for us to take on the plane. His kindness, patience, thoughtfulness, and willingness to go the extra mile made our final moments at Club Med truly special. He absolutely deserves recognition for his outstanding hospitality.

I would also like to recognize Chef Antonio, who is one of the staff members who continually draws us back to Club Med Punta Cana. We only had the opportunity to see him for the final two days of our stay because he had just returned from vacation, but his warmth, kindness, and graciousness immediately reminded us why we appreciate him so much. Chef Antonio is one of the people who has made Club Med feel like home over the years. He has such a welcoming presence and consistently makes guests feel valued and cared for. It is always a pleasure to see him, and we are grateful for the positive energy he brings to the resort.

Sophia was another standout team member. I am not sure if she is currently a manager, but if she is not, she certainly deserves consideration for a promotion. She naturally takes charge, handles guest needs with confidence and professionalism, and embodies everything you would want in a leader. She is warm, attentive, gracious, proactive, and genuinely caring. She consistently exceeded expectations and demonstrated management-level qualities throughout our stay.

I would also like to acknowledge several other amazing staff members.

At the main bar, Halil was always friendly, welcoming, and made fantastic drinks. There was another older gentleman from Turkey whose name I cannot remember but he was such a sweetheart and always greeted us so graciously.

Anto, the Assistant Manager at the main bar, was phenomenal. He made the best passion fruit strawberry mojito I have ever had. Beyond his incredible bartending skills, he is a bright light whose warmth and personality drew us back again and again. We attended two dinners with him simply because we enjoyed his company so much. We now consider him a friend and look forward to seeing him on our next visit. His energy, hospitality, and genuine kindness embody the spirit that makes Club Med so special.

At the Indigo Bar, Alina was an absolute delight. Her beautiful smile brightened every morning, and she was always warm, kind, and genuinely caring. Seeing her each day became one of the highlights of our stay.

At Indigo, Youness has truly become family. Every time we see him around the resort, we are greeted with hugs and kisses, and he is such a sweetheart. Indigo would not truly feel like Indigo without him. We have come to expect his warm smile every time we return, and he is a huge part of what makes our experience there so special.

I would also like to recognize Leidy at Indigo as one of longtime favorites. She is consistently friendly, attentive, and wonderful to interact with.

At Hispañola, Eleanor was always kind and welcoming. We remember her from her time at Indigo and continue to appreciate her excellent service.

I would also like to recognize Luis Miguel, who was consistently cleaning and maintaining the area around the main bar. Every time I passed through, he was hard at work keeping everything spotless. He was always kind, gracious, and professional. His dedication does not go unnoticed.

The entertainment team also deserves recognition, including YouYou, Miguel, Dani, Pepito, Mileidys, and Janko. They help create the fun, energetic atmosphere that keeps guests returning year after year.

I would also like to give a special shoutout to Damien. Damien is truly a shining star and perfectly embodies the Club Med spirit. We had the opportunity to have dinner with him one evening, and he was an absolute joy to be around. He is genuinely fun, engaging, and full of energy. Watching him dance and interact with guests is always a highlight because he has a natural ability to make everyone feel included and welcomed. He brings so much positivity and enthusiasm wherever he goes and is truly the life of the party. Damien is an absolute gem and one of the many reasons Club Med Punta Cana feels so special.

At Reception, Leika was incredibly helpful and sweet. Chloe also went above and beyond for us, even arranging wonderful room upgrades and securing an excellent location before our arrival. Her efforts made a tremendous difference and were deeply appreciated.

I would also like to mention Sephara from Guest Relations, who was extremely helpful throughout our stay. She was attentive, highly responsive, professional, and consistently on top of all our needs. We truly appreciate her support and care during our visit.

I would also like to mention Davidson from the Kids Club, who was extremely friendly and welcoming.

I also want to recognize the hardworking team members who clear the seaweed from the beach each day. Their dedication does not go unnoticed. They work tirelessly in the hot sun, often facing what must feel like an endless task, yet they continue to do their best to keep the beach clean and enjoyable for guests. Their hard work, perseverance, and commitment are greatly appreciated and play an important role in making the guest experience so enjoyable.

Finally, I want to recognize all of the staff whose names I may have forgotten—the maintenance crews, housekeeping teams, groundskeepers, servers, lifeguards, bartenders, and everyone behind the scenes. The dedication and hard work of the entire Club Med Punta Cana team are what make this resort so special.

If I had one small piece of constructive feedback, it would be regarding the interim Chief, Luca. My personal interactions with him were limited, but I did observe an interaction between him and my mother that did not leave the best impression. To his credit, he appeared to make an effort to rectify the situation afterward, and I appreciate that. However, in a leadership role, guests often expect warmth, charisma, and approachability, and that was not consistently the impression we received.

Overall, this was another exceptional stay at what remains our favorite Club Med. The service, hospitality, food, entertainment, renovations, and genuine care shown by the staff continue to set this resort apart. After eight visits to the Dominican Republic and six stays at Club Med Punta Cana, I can confidently say that this resort continues to exceed expectations.

We are already looking forward to returning again in September.

Wonderful job, Club Med Punta Cana team—you truly are the best!

We had the best time at Club Med in Punta Cana! What made it special was the amazing friendliness and hospitality of the GOs at the Village.

The daily activities are the best we could have ever asked for. Starting our day with Luca the Yoga Instructor, then onto the pickleball and tennis courts where the Tennis Team (Roman, Javier and Alvaro) were there to give a group lesson, play in if we needed a fourth player and after the courts joined us in evening activities.

The talented land sports team were on hand to do all the bocce tournaments, Acqua gym and twice daily volleyball tournaments. Enjoyed every second! The four brothers who work under Miguel were amazing and that team deserves an applause for the vibe they create there.

We were invited to a Tiara event where the entertainment was outstanding. Crystal, the Tiara Manager owned the floor with her music talent and dancing.

We came here with my wife, 2 kids, mom and brother. If I could give six stars I would. The G.O.s were AMAZING. Jorge at golf, Matthew Mike Jameson in sports, Louis in front desk… too many others to name. We cannot wait to come back.

First time back at this Club Med since 2019 (pre-fire). Overall, a great experience. We went with two other couples to celebrate a group milestone birthday. While this is a family resort, we did not have any children in our group. So, our experience is a little bit different.

First, thought the sports team at the village was outstanding! And, that flows from the top. Miguel, the Chief of Sports, was omnipresent. We met him our first day and saw and spoke with him every day of our stay. He quickly learned our names, always asked how things were going, and spent time to answer any questions we had. He is definitely a rising star in the Club Med system! Besides, Miguel, many of the sports team members made our stay very enjoyable. Brothers Jameson and Matthew led great Aquagym classes and constantly brought the energy. They always seemed to be hustling to the next activity they had to lead...but always with smiles on their faces and a positive attitude. We also were able to take advantage of the archery offered at the resort. Thanks to a quick lesson from Clement, we enjoyed our time shooting arrows! Another very pleasant and positive GO!

The water sports team was also very accommodating. In particular, Wolson gave a great sailing lesson and was also fun to talk to. While sailing conditions were not great, we were able to partake in other water sports activities. In particular, I would recommend going on the kayak excursion. It was a lot of fun!

Since our last visit to this Club Med, they have built a water park. While probably geared toward a younger crowd (i.e. kids), we went several times and had some fun using the 4 water slides. Nothing wrong with being a big kid! I should also note that the lifeguards were great here. Very much on their game.

As I mentioned, we were a more "mature" group. As a result, we decided to stay in the Zen Oasis portion (adults only) of the resort. The name fits! Very quiet and relaxing around the pool. We found the staff in this area very attentive, particularly Elode (who always had a smile on her face), Enora and Isaac. All of them quickly learned our names and always checked to see how things were going for us.

While we did not have any interactions with her as a result of her official duties (reception), we enjoyed the company of Leika on several occassions. Her warmth and humor were a highlight.

Only complaint is too much Titanium. Don't need to hear it 3 times/day!

As a returning guest, I enjoyed two new activities, Water Park and Kayak Excursion. I went to the Water Park most every afternoon except when I was on the kayak excursion. It was my first time staying in the Zen Oasis area. I recommend it. Isaac, Enora, Elode and Pepito took good care of us. The property looks fantastic. The main area Joia and Plaza were nice spaces. Miguel, Chief of Sports greeted us on Day One and checked in with us throughout our stay, everyday. Miguel was everywhere and always available to answer any questions or concerns. Youyou was full of energy and checked in with us each day. The Life Guards were fantastic. There are many pools and beach locations and the Life Guards were very attentive. I recommend taking a 9:30am Village tour with Leika. She is lovely and we enjoyed talking with her. Also take an archery lesson with Clement. Don't miss Aqua Gym with Jameson, Matthew, Michael. Or go jogging with them or take the Power Walk. Dani's Abs and Glutes class is a must. And Luc's Yoga is phenomenal. All of the bartenders were great but we found our favorite drinks were from Sahil. Wolson gives a great sailing lesson as we were used to different sail boats. I had all three instructors for Latin Dance classes. Take class and learn Salsa and other dances. It was a great trip returning to Punta Cana after seven years. We brought friends who were visiting for the first time. They loved it. Two friends had great tennis lessons with Javier. Our two other friends liked their excursion and the spa treatments. I look forward to the 5000 loyalty points for referring two new families to Club Med. The only negative was the sargassum, brown seaweed.
